Shark

The failed breakout is the trade.

Shark is a single-contract trap trader. It waits for price to run through a scored supply or demand zone, fail, and reclaim the level — the classic liquidity sweep — then sells the failed breakout or buys the failed breakdown. Once in, it has no profit target: it holds at full structural risk until the trade proves itself, then hands the exit to a ratchet that only ever tightens. Winners end when the tape takes the trade from behind, not when a target says so. Everything is computed inside the strategy — nothing else has to be on the chart.

One contract, no target, just a ratchet that kicks in. On an inside day with no run through a real level, Shark stays flat — the engine working, not failing.
Features

What's Inside

Trap-Reversal Entries

Sweep, reclaim, change of character — Shark trades the crowd that got caught chasing a failed break.

Scored Zone Engine

Weighted swing clusters build zones scored for confidence, with gold Anchor Zones marking the strongest levels.

No Profit Target

Shark never caps a winner — it holds until the ratchet takes the trade, not until a target says so.

Structural Stop

The stop sits behind the sweep extreme — the trade’s true invalidation, not an arbitrary distance.

Arm & Ratchet

Once the trade is in profit the stop jumps up, then tightens only on every bar close — an armed trade can’t become a loser.

Multi-Gate Filtering

Composite trap score, tape energy, a VWAP-chase gate, a time window and a shock filter all have to clear.

Bus-Free & Self-Contained

Regime, volatility and the zone engine all run inside the strategy; nothing else goes on the chart.

How It Works

Sweep, Reclaim, Reverse

1 · Sweep

Price wicks through a scored zone’s far edge and closes beyond it, arming the setup.

2 · Reclaim

A close back inside the zone within a set window traps the crowd that chased the break.

3 · Fire

A structure break against the trapped side confirms the reversal, and Shark enters one contract.

4 · Ratchet Out

No target — once in profit the stop arms at breakeven, then tightens on every bar close until it takes the trade.

Risk disclosure: Futures trading contains substantial risk and is not for every investor. An investor could potentially lose all or more than the initial investment. Risk capital is money that can be lost without jeopardizing one's financial security or lifestyle. Only risk capital should be used for trading and only those with sufficient risk capital should consider trading. Past performance is not necessarily indicative of future results. Performance disclosure: Hypothetical performance results have many inherent limitations, some of which are described below. No representation is being made that any account will or is likely to achieve profits or losses similar to those shown; in fact, there are frequently sharp differences between hypothetical performance results and the actual results subsequently achieved by any particular trading program. One of the limitations of hypothetical performance results is that they are generally prepared with the benefit of hindsight. In addition, hypothetical trading does not involve financial risk, and no hypothetical trading record can completely account for the impact of the financial risk of actual trading. For example, the ability to withstand losses or to adhere to a particular trading program in spite of trading losses are material points which can also adversely affect actual trading results. There are numerous other factors related to the markets in general or to the implementation of any specific trading program which cannot be fully accounted for in the preparation of hypothetical performance results and all of which can adversely affect actual trading results.
